Description
|
Clove
is an evergreen tree native to Jamaica, Brazil,
the Philippines and other tropical areas. It
grows 15 - 30 feet tall producing huge leaves
and clusters of red and white bell shaped
flowers followed by a one or two seeded
berry.

the Han Dynasty (207 BC - 220 AD) those who
addressed the Chinese Emperor were required to
hold Cloves in their mouth to mask bad
breath.
Cloves arrived in Europe around the 4th
Century AD.
