- Echinacea
Echinacea is a perennial plant native to the Canadian prairies and some parts of the United States. The bristly stem produces tapered, fuzzy leaves that are very unique. 15 to 20 large purple rays appear in a disk format blooming from June through August.
- Elder
Elder grows 10 - 30 feet tall deciduous tree native to Europe. The bark is light brown near the bottom of the stem changing to a grayish white color as you near the top.
- Elecampane
Elecampane is a perennial plant that is native to North China, Manchuria, Mongolia, and Korea. It is also widely cultivated. In the wild it grows in abundance in fields and ditches.
- Eucalyptus
This tall evergreen is native to Australia and Tasmania. Blue Gum is the variety commonly grown in the Southern United States. It grows to 300 feet or more, and is covered with a papery bark that peels very easily. The leaves of trees that are under 5 years old are soft, oblong, and a bluish color.
- Evening Primrose
Evening Primrose is a biennial plant native to Canada and some areas of the United States. This hardy plant thrives in dry meadows, mountains and wastelands.
- Eyebright
Eyebright is a small hardy, annual herb, that grows rampant in fields, pastures, and other grassy areas. The square stem grows to 12 inches, producing toothed leaves and red, purple, or white two-lipped flowers that bloom from June through September.
